Warbird Recovery is committed to the International recovery and restoration of rare and historic military aircraft. The first aircraft recovery trip took place in the Summer of 1993 in Siberian Russia and the mission was to recover rare Japanese and US fighters. Aircraft which have been successfully recovered and brought to the United States by Warbird Recovery include several Messerschmitt Bf109 fighters, a North American P-51D and a British Hawker Hurricane.
All aircraft acquired by Warbird Recovery are intended to be restored to flying condition and will be displayed at the Spirit of Flight Center near Denver, Colorado. In addition, Warbird Recovery works with Museums and private collectors worldwide to help fill their collection needs. We need your help! Warbird Recovery is always looking for additions to the collection and would welcome any information you might have on locations of military aircraft or parts that might be of interest. Please contact us through our web page or call us at (303) 460-1156. But please, no day dreams...
